As I’d been doing mainly solo acoustic songs recently this was a palette cleansing electric improvisation from the other side of my coin.
I think of acoustic as yin and electric as yang forces.
The winter solstice is always a relief to get through, as the daylight begins to return.
It’s recurred in my work as a theme, for example an early song
, and elaborated up on in the collected works of The Winter
I’ve been known to dabble in electric noise from early on
or in more recent collaborations with Campbell Kneale or Emit Snake-Beings.
